MISSION STATMENT

St. Stephen's School is dedicated to providing an environment wherein children are taught traditional Christian values. It is a place where children can develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through educationally sound practices and developmentally appropriate activities.

 

NURSERY SCHOOL
KINDERGARTEN

 

CONFERENCES:

Conferences are held during the school year and are on a one to one basis with the parents and the teachers. They are held to inform parents of their child's progress in language, social, and emotional development.

TUITION AND REGISTRATION:

Upon registering you child for school, September's tuition and a non- refundable registration fee is required to cover the cost of insurance and field trips for your child. Monthly tuition is due, one month in advance, on the first class day of each month. The amount of both fees are determined in January of the previous year.

CLASSES OFFERED:

Classes are offered for children 3 years through Kindergarten.

EXTENDED CARE:

Child care is available to nursery school families for children age 3 through Kindergarten from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM on days that Whitehall Coplay Schools are in session.

STAFF:

We have a highly qualified staff trained in the care of young children. Teachers are certified and hold degrees in education and have years of teaching experience. Our aids and extended care staff are all very experienced in child care. Each class has a teacher and aide and extended care is always staffed with a minimum of 2 child care workers.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT:

Parents are a necessary part of our program as they become involved in their child's class, seasonal parties, lunch supervision, field trips, guest readers and fund raisers. Newsletters will be sent home on a regular basis to keep families aware and involved with their child's learning experiences.

ADVISORY BOARD:

The nursery School and Kindergarten are governed by an Advisory Board who controls all matters of policy and expenditures. There are nine members: the Rector (Pastor) or his representative, a Vestry member, 3 Church members, 2 parent representatives and 2 members at large.
