Daughters of the King (DOK)

The Daughters of the King is a lay order for women in the Episcopal Church focused on prayer and service. Daughters wear a silver cross with the letters FHS meaning “For His Sake”. The Daughters sponsor Quiet Days, provide cards for the birthdays and anniversaries of our members, and hold each one of us in prayer. The motto of the DOK is:

 

I am but one;

But I am one.

I cannot do everything,

But I can do something.

What I can do,

I ought to do.

What I ought to do,

By the grace of God

I will do.

Lord,

What will you have me do?

 

Order of St. Luke (OSL)

The OSL is a lay order for both men and women focused on healing ministry. Members of our parish chapter maintain the parish prayer list, make hospital visits, and bring the Sacrament to members of limited mobility. They also lead in the Tuesday 9:30 a.m. Healing Eucharist.
